Alocasia Nobilis Pink Variegated K Version -Tissue Culture

Ultra elite collector-grade selected cultivar of Alocasia Nobilis, famously known as the K Version.

Distinguished from standard Pink Nobilis by superior stable pink pigment expression; new leaves unfurl with striking coral-blush pink sectors that persist prominently through maturity, rather than quickly fading. It bears iconic sculptural kris-sword shaped foliage with jagged lobed margins, set against deep glossy emerald-black blades and highlighted by sharp silvery-white central venation.

Chimeric blush-pink and soft cream clouded marbling flows organically across each leaf. Every unfurled leaf produces completely unrepeatable patterning, ranging from delicate flecking to expansive full-pink sectors. Leaf undersides carry rich burgundy-purple undertones which amplify its dramatic tropical aesthetic.

The K Version lineage is highly sought-after among serious collectors for its improved consistency of pink variegation and lower reversion risk compared to unselected seed-grown specimens. Compact upright clumping growth makes it ideal for plant cabinets and curated rare plant displays.

Care Requirements

☀️ Light: Bright filtered indirect light only. Direct sunlight will scorch delicate pink variegated tissue. Consistent gentle illumination encourages stable pink colouration on new growth.

💧 Water: Allow the top 2–3cm of airy, chunky aroid substrate to dry between watering. Use fast-draining mix; never allow rhizomes to sit in stagnant water to avoid rot. Reduce watering frequency through New Zealand’s cool winter months.

💨 Humidity: Thrives with 65%+ humidity. Elevated air moisture prevents leaf tip browning and supports clean, full unfurling of new leaves.

🌡️ Temperature: Maintain steady warm temperatures between 18–27°C. Protect strictly from cold drafts and temperatures below 15°C.
